How You'll Perform the Role
- Responsible for ensuring the production area is conducive for a safe and healthy work environment.
- Maintain a clean production area.
- Foster a culture of Safety First and maintain a safe production area.
- Oversee and train new employees to perform their respective job duties in a safe environment.
- Work closely with the Process Tech in processing molded products to develop and improve processes in existing and new products.
- Improve processes where possible to gain maximum efficiencies of products manufactured.
- Monitor machines and focus on improving the cycle times and cavitation while keeping the reject rate below 2%.
- Foster an environment of continuous improvement.
- Understand production metrics to complete required paperwork during each shift as required.
- Monitor breaks and lunches assuring everyone follows the allowed times for each.
- Working knowledge of company policies and ability to influence others to follow all company policies and procedures.
- Lead by example and help maintain pride of ownership and harmony among all employees.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- High School diploma or equivalent required; some technical schooling or college a plus.
- Winning attitude
- 4-5 years as a molder.
- Working knowledge of injection molding process.
- Hands on experience with injection molding tooling.
- Ability and willingness to work overtime and/or weekends when required.
